Most of my work typically lives online and is somewhat ephemeral in nature. However I am a collector of many physical objects that I find throughout the world featuring the (often severed) bodies of women as consumable or functional objects. In the series The Unreal Real, I decided to create cyanotypes on linoleum tile from images of my collected (severed) women-as-objects and augment them digitally with internet commentary about my feminist art practice made by participants in online enclaves like the manosphere to create a conversation between the harassment of women in online spaces and the ubiquity of consumer objects showcasing women's bodies in physical space. The result is a series of looping GIFs meant to be displayed on vertical Electric Objects screens.
