Hey there!

Jeez I cannot believe that it is May 17th! On June 2nd I will be flying to Iceland to complete a residency at Gullkistan in the town of Laugarvatn. Whoa!
This is possible because of donations I received from my community through Kickstarter: see the campaign here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/angelawashko/send-an-artist-to-iceland?ref=live.

In other upcoming news, I will be performing in a conference organized by Panoply Lab called A CONFERENCE OF WORKS: MEDIUM, MODE, AND METHOD. I will be performing at 5 pm on Sunday May 22nd. My performance will also include Flux Factory all-stars Sebastien Sanz de Santamaria and Adrian Owen. The conference is all day on Sunday.

I've also recently been accepted into a number of performance and video festivals including the Rotterdam International Film Festival, The Athens Video Art Festival, Museum Gallery - Gallery Museum in Cincinnati's Two Minute Video Festival,

I just finished my artist residency as an apprentice at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia, PA. I now have one 1-color/4-way repeat pattern and one 3-color/2-way repeat pattern in their permanent collection and archives. I also just completed a stint as the assistant to the Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Institute of Contemporary Art (Philadelphia).

On December 27th I move to Troy, NY to be part of the curatorial staff at the Contemporary Artists Center at Woodside, as well as a resident artist there. I will also be teaching a couple of classes at the Arts Center of the Capital Region, and organizing occasional events at 51 3rd (Troy Bike Rescue).
